Visit to Sri Lanka Scout National Jamboree

NCY-SL Organized visit to the Sri Lanka Scout National Jamboree site held at Hambanthota from 28th to 30th December 2010, 16 YMCA Scout and Scout Leaders visited the above Jamboree.

We, the Scout Leaders at the Sri Lanka YMCA are pleased to present the following pages giving news on Scouting Activities of our troops. The YMCA movement in Sri Lanka was started 129 years ago in 1882 and now has spread to 38 locations around the country.

Scouting was part of the Y movement from the beginning. However, in recent years it has received new vigor and dynamism with the support of local leadership and overseas partners.

This blog was launched to create a link and partnership between scouting movements of the world. As such, you are welcomed to contribute news on your programmes / activities and importantly, share ideas and experiences.
