This event was held at Kalmunai YMCA on 25th April 2010 attended by 12 Scout leaders of participating YMCAs and supervised by Akkaraipattu - Kalmunai District Commissioner Mr.M.I.M Musthafa.

We, the Scout Leaders at the Sri Lanka YMCA are pleased to present the following pages giving news on Scouting Activities of our troops. The YMCA movement in Sri Lanka was started 129 years ago in 1882 and now has spread to 38 locations around the country.

Scouting was part of the Y movement from the beginning. However, in recent years it has received new vigor and dynamism with the support of local leadership and overseas partners.

This blog was launched to create a link and partnership between scouting movements of the world. As such, you are welcomed to contribute news on your programmes / activities and importantly, share ideas and experiences.
